Supplementry Benefits

Supplementary benefits are available to enhance the basic policy. The following supplementary benefits can be added with basic policy. 

 

Double Indemnity Accidental Benefit (DIAB)

 

If within 90 days from the date of occurrence an insured dies directly from such an accident caused through external, violent and visible in nature then the Company shall pay to the insured the sum assured in addition to the death benefit of the basic policy.

 Permanent Disability and Accidental Benefit (PDAB)

 If within 90 days from the date of occurrence an insured dies or suffered from disablement caused directly by an accident caused through external, violent and visible in nature the Company shall pay any one of the following indemnity to the insured:

a)       Loss of one hand or one foot at or above the wrist or ankle respectively or complete loss of sight of one eye

4. Total and Permanent Disability (TPD)

Disablement from engaging in or giving attention to any employment or occupation whether for purposes of business, profession or otherwise.


10% of sum assured is payable over 10 years as annuity payment and waiver of future premium under the policy.

Critical Illness (CI)

Critical Illness Insurance Benefits Rider

Eligibility

Any individual in good health and is between 18-55 years of age.

Exit age

Maximum age at the end of rider term is 60 years.

Rider Term

Same as that of the base plan or till the attained age 60 of the life insured, whichever is earlier

Pay Mode

Same as base plan

Rider Sum Assured

Maximum BDT. 5,00,000 subject to maximum of 50% sum assured of the base plan

Covered Diseases

1.          Cancer excluding any non-invasive cancer and skin cancers

2.          Heart attack (Myocardial Infarction)

3.          Stroke

4.          Coronary Artery Surgery

5.          Kidney Failure (End Stage Renal Disease)  

6.          Major Organ Transplantation

7.          Paralysis

8.          Multiple Sclerosis

9.          Blindness/Loss of Sight

10.       Heart Valve Replacement,

11.       Surgery of Aorta

12.        Aplastic Anaemia,

13.       Benign Brain Tumor

14.       Chronic Lung Disease/End Stage Lung Disease

15.       Deafness/Loss of Hearing

16.       Major Head Trauma

17.       Loss of Limbs

18.       Loss of Speech.

 

Claim Payments

In the unfortunate event if the life insured is diagnosed to be suffering from any one of the above 18 critical illnesses, we will pay 50% of the rider sum assured but maximum BDT 5 lac on survival of 30 days following the date of confirmed diagnosis.

Waiting period

180 days.

Limitations

The Critical illness rider benefits lump sum payment will be made only once under this policy one is diagnosed with or actually undergone surgery for, as the case may be, any of the eighteen critical illnesses listed above.

Exclusions

Pre-existing medical conditions related to Dread Disease are excluded and all other terms according to policy document of base plan. Smokers with a consumption of more than 40 cigarettes per day shall be declined for CI cover.

Definitions

Policy Document will have precise definitions of the above critical illnesses, and any benefit under this policy would be payable if an illness meets criteria as specified in that definition of the Policy Document.
